going home, au revior kimchiland

Time passes by so fast...
Before I knew it,
Its already time to go home.
And It felt like as if it was yesterday when I first arrive.

It was the end of winter when I came
and the beginning of winter when I leave...

Remember the time how much i disliked this country,
probably because of the food when I was a kid.
And see now how much affection I have towards this country
and I am starting to miss the taste of kalbitang.

In Korea,
I experienced the change of seasons
the beauty of this country
the kindness of the people
and the independence I have to hold onto
and perhaps....
a closer relationship to God.

Thank you very much people,
for treating my very well in Korea...
you know who you are and.....
I will miss you all so bad...
and probably very very bad

winter is very cold in Korea.
But all your love and care warms me up inside.
thank you very much.
I love you all so...
au revior.

I shall take all these memories and cherish it
in my little box
hidden in my hearts core.

♦Japanese Club: Lets make Takoyaki and yaki soba ♦

My homeroom teacher , Jo en Su was the adviser teacher for the Japanese club.
So I was pulled in to join the Japanese club inn Yo Go during CA hours on Fridays.

Usually I’d go for art club but its ok for a change once in a while, never joined a Japanese club before but sounds fun to understand and experience some Japanese culture in Korea.

Why not? I am a closet fujoshi you know? OOT: OH MY ISSHUBABIESSSSS .

During my first visit to the Japanese culture club, the teacher decided to make takoyaki and yakisoba together.

They even brought the takoyaki machine (which they bought all the way from sushiland omg so pro wei).

The funny and awkward part was when the teacher acting like the total boss of the club and instructing the students how to cook and then whispered to me that this was actually her first time making these Japanese street delicacies LOL.

It was fun, we made really ugly takoyaki on our first try but on our third IT WAS AS IF IT WAS FROM THE STALLS OMG WE SO PROOOOO /bricked.

I tried cooking yakisoba, it was pretty fun!
But then I get nervous when I cook in front of many people so I kept trying to make it look good.
Overall it was a wonderful feast and experience.
I cannot wait for my next CA hour =v=/

 we gather to cooooookkkkk
 we mix the ingredientsssssssssss
we cook the baconnnnnnnnnn
 YAKISOBARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
TAKOYAKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

♠ Adieu Kyung Hwa EB, Hello Kyung Hwa Yo Go ♠

September 3, 2012.
Cloudy.

The long summer holidays have ended in Korea, and the school gates are open once again.

When I returned back to school, the principle and higher ups decided to transfer me from Kyung Hwa EB high school to Kyung Hwa Yo Go.

I had been living in Korea and studying in EB high school for 6 months already.
The higher ups decided to let me and the kyung hwa high school students to have more chance to interact.
This was also to give me more opportunity to make friends in kimchiland.

The plan was really sudden, and it felt really weird and heavy to part away from the class and my classmates. Especially my best pals, So Som and Da Som.

My class prepared a mini “farewell” party before I left, just like Lea’s farewell party, there was choco pie and candles. In addition, I even received a box of candies and some farewell cards. Seeing So Som and Da Som’s words that were the only ones written in Korean kind of make me feel warm. After all they are the only ones that interacts Korean with me and knows that even if I hardly understand their message, I will understand it soon.

★★★★★

I transferred to Kyung Hwa Yo Go in 3rd of September. Kyung Hwa Yo Go students to my surprise, have more students that can speak English than EB.

I guess its because they study harder here just to get into a good college unlike EB which focuses into getting into a trading company.

The students here are really friendly too. I felt more open heart here and in the end exposed my “doujinka side” to them which I held secretly to myself ultra-privately due to the painful past before that nearly killed the artist in myself.

This sparked an interest of another animanga little artist from the class named Ji Su ( I call her cham sin aka. Sleep God because she loves sleeping LOL).
She instantly took a liking to me and showed me all her artworks.
Her body anatomy drawings are pretty good for her age *me eats jelly silently* The best part is…SHE LOVES POGAYMON 8D
We did two collabs of our oc pokemon trainers. I gave her one as a souvenir (?).

my oc yuu, with a zebrastrika and minchinno

Seeing her draw during boring classes reminds me so much of my good ol’ days.
I kind of miss that actually *smiles sadly*

So far so good in this school, my homeroom teacher is really nice too! She doesn’t speak good English like Mrs. Kim or Ji Hae Sensei but thanks to the Korean studies 6 months, I managed to interact with her in kimchi language (y).

I will be leaving in 4 months, I hope everything will turn out fine in the end and this would be an unforgettable memory of my whole life. =D

♠may happenings: singing festival and sports day ♠

so May was actually a very happening months will lots of random long weekends >///<
remember the choir singing festival I mentioned in my previous blog posts?

Yup that happened!

so because its pretty out of the norm, I decided to blog about it after receiving the video from my teacher of the choir singing competition.

 ♠♠♠♠♠

Sports Day :

So sports day in a korean school is just like any typical sports day lah, their school has a pretty big field so sports day was held there.

I remember my last sports day when I was 15, that time I was still in Kuen Cheng girls high. I remember being involved in the Cadet so I did not really joined any activities as I had to guard the gate to prevent students from running away lol.

Since its sports day in korea, they obviously blasted lots of kpop songs to bring up the atmosphere! you can see students dancing all the kpop moves and singing to them. I mean its pretty common in Korea so why not ? XD
Anyway below is the picture spams hurhur ♥

♠ Happy Parents Day !!!! ♠

Just so you know, Korea is celebrating parents day today.
Its pretty much like the mothers day and fathers day we celebrate in our country every year.
The only difference is that its fusion together into one day.

Its not a public holiday and of course I still have to attend school.
Nothing special really happened during my whole day at school except only the morning service they show something in korean about family
which I could hardly understand and I slept through it.
 Other than that, after school,
some of the dorm students were picked up by their families so that they could have dinner together (same tradition with my family, seeing it makes me feel nostalgic )

♠♠♠

Most of the free time I spent today was looking up on camera reviews online. My beloved and faithful DSC TX 7 is broken down. I pretty much preferred a small digital camera I can use for blogging that could take high definition pictures and maybe filled with vibrant colors.

Pk recommended me to get the fujix10 to replace my old camera. So I went and look up on information, price and reviews, when I found the fujix 10 a bit pricy in Malaysia, linkinstreet suggested another few camera brands for me that were cheaper and better to handle in budget terms.

In the end, I end up looking at alot of camera reviews because it links towards and were compared with another few cameras. The variety of choices made me lost and casted away from what I really wanted. The fuji x 10 was really tempting but then my father at home was the only one that knows the most about cameras. So I decided to send an email to Dad regarding the fujix 10 as well as wishing him happy parents day in korea. In the email I also mentioned about the spoilt camera and other reasons why I need another camera (I do not even mind if I receive a camera its even temporary).

♠♠♠

Being honest my relationship with my dad at home is really awkward. We do not usually talk that often and I really find him very intimidating. Every time he calls shouts my name, it usually has to do with something negative. Besides, my childhood was usually spent with my grandparents until I moved back to stay with my parents when I was 15 years old so the relationship felt complex-er than ever. I never really dared to voice out my thoughts and needs to my father and he never really voiced his opinions that often.

When I sent out that email, I wasn't really expecting him to say anything good despite I ended my email to him with a 'love, chloe'. I wasn't even really expecting him to actually reply also. After half the day went, he actually replied my mail, which I was pretty surprised. But I hesitated to open it because if it were dad, he would 70% say "NOLAH CANNOT! TOO EXPENSIVE WAIT TILL MARKET CHEAPER BLA BLA BLA WHY U SPOIL THE CAMERA!! etc " oTL

♠♠♠

After getting enough courage to beat the disappointment that I might receive, I finally opened the replied mail and ......

I actually broke out in tears, for the first time,
I cannot really explain my feelings but I felt really really happy and touched.
For once he did not scold me or complained but just said that I can use his fujix-10
(I DID NOT EVEN KNOW DADDY OWNS A FUJIX-10!!!)
. and even ended the email with 'love, daddy'
the 'love , daddy' part really made me cry alot  ;////;

I REALLY LOVE DADDY
NOT BECAUSE OF THE CAMERA
BUT BECAUSE OF HIS LOVE!!!
♥I FINALLY FELT IT ♥

♠♠♠

Anyway random food talk of the day! I went to the convenience store to reload my card and I saw the rm 12 mini melt ice cream got promotion and its only selling for rm 3!!! So I bought it |D

reason why its rm 3 because it has lost shape
overall still edible and taste pretty nice but still abit too pricy for a small ice cream.
I do not recommend trying one unless there is a discount LOL

Exams finishing tomorrow! So does my trip starts tomorow !

My exams for Japanese and Korean has finished and the only one left is my chinese which is tomorrow.

My Korean test was easier than I thought, but still I did not feel that I did that well (´;ω;`)
I always get confused with all the vowels from 가 to 까, alot of repetitions to me oh well.
I can read better than I right I believe :(

My Japanese test was as easy but then I could have done better ^^" screw me for forgetting the hiragana word
' ゆ ' all of a sudden. (;-_-)/

I am pretty confident with my chinese since I am borned a chinese and I have been learning in a chinese school
since kindergarten up till now. I guess I will just leave it aside at the moment and maybe pack my things for my departure to  Busan!

Why am I heading all the way to Busan? Its not even the holidays!
Well, this is because I decided to treat myself nicely after the exams and go have fun with my OBVIOUS OBSESSION WITH ANIMES AND MANGAS MUAHAHHAHAHAH.

wait whut....?

YES!!!! I AM ATTENDING COMIC WORLD 74TH IN BUSAN!!!!

Its probably going to be my first and last event in Busan thought.

The costs of transportation and stay is not very cheap, probably going to spend lesser this month after Comic World Busan. which means no lotte chocolates no milk tea no ice cream no this no that etc for this month......NOOOOOOOOOOOO

My goal for comic world busan is just getting informations and experience only. But the bonus treasure for me is to .....

BUY ALL THE N/TOUYA DOUJINSHIS!!!!
well some magi doujinshis too but pokemon comes first hurhur

I will not be cosplaying, but instead I will be wearing my black durarara!! chatroom shirt. I might have some
Malaysians to tagging along just for fun.

Regarding comic world Busan, I am only attending one day(which is day 1), because the journey from Busan to Kwang Ju is not very near and I have to be at the dorm on sunday by 8pm.

Stay tuned for more informations and random blog rants about hapi's journey to comic world busan 74!!
gotta go pack my laguage now :P

Below is a video about CW busan a year ago. looks pretty interesting no?

Outside school and exam week

Its currently late spring in Korea now, flowers are still blooming rapidly and violently (?).

The weather has gotten much warmer compared with the last 2 months.

Students do not wear their school cardigan that often anymore,

and some students have already changed into their summer uniform (SEIRA FUKU DAMN MOE WEI) ,

I would like to wear the summer  uniform, but then I have yet to receive my summer uniform  oTL

If you were wondering about the cherry blossoms, they are already gone,

Green leaves have now replaced the flowers so there is no more cherry blossoms left...  (´;ω;`)

lens flare, pretty much explains the heat
all the haksen on their way home (to study for their exams)
 what flower is this ?

the school gate of Kyung Hwa
lovely road up and down to school

these were actually cherry blossoms, but now they are replaced by the greens
 lovely flowers on the side
 An american house in Korea!
This fella must have been really rich to even afford this type of house in Korea

Greens are good for the eyes
another side of the road leads another road to the boys high school
lets stalk young and innocent shounens
 mabushi sunlight

inside school, on my way to the dorm
since I am in a girls school...I guess this statue has something to do with the history of this school.

♥♥and here comes the food ♥♥

Some snack my kawan kawan belanja me, its called toboki (떡볶이)
Korean students and children loves toboki,
Its actually rice cake in red chili peper sauce,
정말정말 SPICY !!!
but then try everything lo lol.
It doesn't taste that bad ;v; too bad I suck at spicy food.
so in the end i gave most of it to my other friend.

toboki so merah so pedah lol

Below is a chocolate cookie snack in Korea,
Not making any advertisements or something but I really find chocolates from lotte really good.
This below is one of my most favorite snack I like to eat when I am bored

whee chocolate  ♥♥♥♥ ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Regarding lotte chocolates,
I think they sell it in Malaysia Jusco or something,

Anyway blog post is over~
Tomorrow I have 한국어 test ! (aka. korean language test)
Wish me luck!!!!  (´ ω `  )
